Rome – April 2004. In a ceremony held at the Palazzo Campello, seat of the Grand Magistry of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George, in central Rome, the Chargé d’Affaires of Panama to the Holy See, Señor Francisco Javier Torres, presented the decorations of a Grand Officer of the Order of Manuel Amador Guerrero and diploma to British and Irish Delegate, Mr Anthony Bailey on behalf of Her Excellency Mireya Elisa Moscoso Rodriguez, President of the Republic of Panama.
President Moscoso Rodriguez was unable to present the decorations personally due to the Presidential Elections in the Central American nation but on her behalf the Chargé d’Affaires in his speech stated that these high awards were made in recognition of the Constantinian Order’s launch of charitable and humanitarian initiatives in Panama, their efforts to promotion of the Roman Catholic Faith, and in recognition of role played by Mr Bailey is furthering European-Panamanian bilateral and multi-lateral relations.
