London, October 2013. On the occasion of The President of Anglo-Arab organisation being granted the high honour of Freedom of The City of London, Mr Anthony Bailey organised a high-profile banquet at the historic Stationers’ Hall in London on 2 October 2013 to celebrate British-Arab relations.
Among guests attending the banquet were the Ambassadors of Oman, Palestine, Tunisia, Yemen, Jordan and Bahrain; Baroness Tonge, Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, Lady Olga Maitland, Sir Desmond de Silva, QC, Sir Anthony Joliffe, Sir Terence Clark, Archbishop Athanasius Toma Dawood, Mr Jacques Santer, Alderman John Garbutt, Mr Andrew Rosindell, Mp, Mr Abdul Hadi al-Majali, Mr Murray Craig and other members of the British-Arab community and associated organisations.
Mr Anthony Bailey offered a Vote of Thanks.
The historic civic recognition of Freedom of London was granted in recognition of the Organisation president’s longstanding contribution to furthering British-Arab business, political, cultural and religious ties.
